  Got lunch in the diner side at 1. Limited food options which werent fresh at all. The diner closed as we were eating.. Which we had finished by about 1:30. Went to the Cafe side for some coffee and found out they have made to order food on that side. Even though we just paid as much in the diner side for old food. Probably wouldn't go back.

  Good a great steak on steak night, quality food for a reasonable price on the mountain.

  The only redeeming think I could say for this place on my first (and probably only visit) is that it was actually open, although only just. So it was not over run with people, quite the contrary it was almost empty and seemed to be mainly shut. Food (the little there was) very expensive to me ($12 something for a pie, sauce and cup of coke). Food choice was very minimal, poorly presented, broken drinks machine at one end, toilets pretty disgusting and so on. Kitchen workers sitting on the food preparation areas (yuck!) There was a bit of a view out over the valley which was good, but spoiled by the continual stream of workers going in and out to take a smoke -- this was mid-week (Tuesday) at lunchtime (around 12:30pm) so it should have been their peak time. Perhaps visiting on 29th of August meant the season was over for them. Not recommended - go elsewhere.

  This was definitely the best place to call our "base" with the kids when we were at Mt Buller. Friendly staff. Great coffee. Great food.
